The health, safety and security of our employees, customers and others who may be affected by our business activities are a top priority. We believe that all work-related fatalities, injuries and illnesses are preventable and we are committed to a health and safety culture.
Promoting a safe working environment
At DGS, we comply with the law, regulations and company procedures. We take preventive measures to avoid breakdowns, injury, accident or illness to ourselves, our contractors, our customers, our partners and other stakeholders. We place high importance on minimising risk of incidents and accidents in every area of our business.
Our comprehensive business management systems aim to ensure that we comply with all relevant legislation, continually improve our performance and are able to meet externally verifiable standards, as well as the internal standards we set ourselves.
Our aim is to maintain a safe and secure environment that enables us to carry out all business operations without hindrance from criminal activity, physical danger or disruption to our operations. Our security team identifies security risks to our people, assets and operations. The team also ensures effective measures are in place to address any known risks.
Everyone at DGS has a personal responsibility for security. We watch out for any potential risks, report incidents, comply with procedures and behave responsibly.
In high-risk areas, we ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the UN guidelines of basic principles on the Use of Force and Firearms by Law Enforcement Officials and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
